back

her

chariot is a very talented, gorgeous, courageous, and passionate woman. i love her to the moon and back.

chariot & akko

because to me, you've always been my teacher ...that's why
...i was hoping you could keep being my professor

as ursula, chariot built a very strong and loving relationship with akko at luna nova. it broke her heart to know she was the cause behind akko's lack of magic, and hiding her identity from the atsuko was something she felt all too guilty for as well.

when croix arrives at luna nova, chariot does all that she can to protect akko. croix was doing this to hurt chariot, she knew how much her student meant to her. chariot truly loves akko and did everything she could to protect her both physically and emotionally.

she wants akko to succeed, she stands up for her even if it means risking her career, spends countless hours mentoring akko. because if akko can pursue her dreams even after the effects of the dream magic, chariot can forgive herself for ever using it.

when atsuko forgives chariot, you can see how much their relationship has grown. they both grew from their experiences, chariot made peace with her past mistakes and akko was able to mature and accept her magical disadvantage. they make each other better people, and i really love that.

chariot & croix

i won't let you take her!
please, run. you've already done enough
it's not enough!
i was the one who stole your dream, croix, i won't let anything else be stolen

these women. these women. disaster lesbians at their absolute worst.

young and insecure, croix became so very jealous of chariot. chariot was chosen by the claiomh solais, (which she refers to as shiny rod). she grew popular using its magic to put on shows, and croix hated that. she wanted chariot to find the words and release the world-changing magic. it's obvious how much croix craved attention, acknowledgment, even power. she creates technology to make up for the power she was denied when the rod chose chariot over her. technology that chariot decides is morally wrong. croix doesn't understand the problem. she feels betrayed chariot fails to realize this. you can't blame chariot for her naivety, her own problems clouded her vision, and she was also young and immature. the stress of her fame, the stress of pleasing her audience, keeping magic alive and interes to the public eye, the disapproval she received for her 'childish' practice was enough on its own. when she and croix have their fallout, when she finds out that the magic she had been using in her shows is stealing magic from its viewers, she breaks.

chariot loves croix, she always has. croix's own feelings seem muddied by her desire for the 'world-changing power' but are clear when they return to the forest once again as adults. despite seemingly trying to sabotage chariot, she reveals her concern when chariot faces serious injury.

when croix finds the claiomh solais doesn't hold the power she desires, that it will never choose her, she falls apart. she gives in to her anger and frustration. her own creation turns on her, and she has no power over it. this whole scene means so much to their relationship. croix begs chariot to leave. she knows the creature is after her, she doesn't understand why chariot would risk her life to protect the someone who had been so terrible to her. and to the woman who has felt nothing but abandonment since that day in the forest, she replies, "i won't abandon you". to the woman who ruined her life she says, "i'm the one who stole your dream". idk about you but my gay ass? i gotta go home

these ladies are in love.
their love for each other has grown so much.
